On December 6th, the Digital Zhejiang Cultural Immersion Program team, composed of 18 students from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology hailing from Germany, Romania, Afghanistan, Hungary and other countries, visited Hangzhou Robot Town and Light Shadow Hub M511, kicking off a distinctive study tour that integrates technological exploration and cultural experience.

At Hangzhou Robot Town, the international students observed various types of robots deployed in different industries. From the precise operation demonstrations of industrial collaborative robots to the human-machine interaction experience with service robots, and further to the efficient operation of intelligent logistics systems, a series of cutting-edge technological achievements left the international students lingering and marvelling.

The cultural experience session at the second stop of the activity was equally wonderful. At the VR Experience Center of Light Shadow Hub M511 in Xihu District, the international students put on professional equipment and instantly "found themselves" under the dome of Notre-Dame de Paris. In the virtual scene, the pointed arches, flying buttresses and stained glass windows of the Gothic architecture were clearly distinguishable. The historical atmosphere of the Middle Ages surged forth. Through interactions, the students could also carefully observe the carving details of the building, learn about its construction process and cultural value, making up for the regret of not being able to visit it in person.

This activity combines digital technology exploration with cross-cultural experience. It not only provides a window for international students to understand the development of China's digital economy, but also builds a bridge for Sino-foreign cultural exchanges through innovative technological means. It effectively helps international students broaden their horizons, enhance cross-cultural understanding, and inject new vitality into the exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign youth.
