Hi, I'm Seleni Casanova Ong, Communication Engineering student at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST). In the fast-paced world of technology, few companies have made as significant an impact as Huawei and Dahua. These two Chinese giants have revolutionized the telecommunications and surveillance industries, respectively. With their relentless pursuit of innovation and commitment to quality, Huawei and Dahua have become global leaders in their respective fields, shaping the digital landscape and pushing boundaries. We, the Maker Club (International Students Section), organized international students from ZUST and Zhejiang University of Technology on a trip through the remarkable journeys of Huawei and Dahua, exploring their key contributions and ongoing impact on the world stage.

First day of the trip, we went to Huawei first. Huawei, founded in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei, began as a small provider of telecommunications equipment in Shenzhen, China. Today, it has grown into one of the world's largest and most influential telecommunications companies, providing a wide range of products and services, including smartphones, networking solutions, and cloud computing.

Renowned for its cutting-edge research and development, Huawei has been at the forefront of 5G technology. Its relentless pursuit of innovation has yielded groundbreaking advancements that have transformed the telecommunications industry. Huawei's 5G infrastructure has the potential to revolutionize various sectors, such as autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Despite facing challenges and controversies in recent years, Huawei's commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable products remains steadfast. The company continues to invest heavily in research and development, working towards a future where seamless connectivity and advanced technology drive human progress.

The next day, we went to Dahua Company. Dahua Technology, founded in 2001, has emerged as a global leader in the field of video surveillance solutions. With a focus on cutting-edge technology and innovation, Dahua has successfully developed a comprehensive portfolio of products, including cameras, recorders, software, and cloud services.

Dahua's solutions have been instrumental in enhancing public safety and security worldwide. Its advanced video surveillance systems offer high-definition imaging, intelligent analytics, and efficient data management, empowering law enforcement agencies, businesses, and individuals to protect people, assets, and property effectively.

Moreover, Dahua has embraced the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to drive innovation in the surveillance industry. The last but not the least, thanks to Maker Club, Zhejiang Institute of Communications, and School of International Education of ZUST for organizing this remarkable journey.
